Is when the ink is raised from the sheet of board or paper which give a very unique finish other wise known as thermograhy or thermographic printing most colours can be used, using this process which puts it in a class of its own why not choose thermography.

Here on the right you can see one of our contempary gilt edged cards with rounded corners. This design is usually printed in Thermography using any colour ink required to match your wedding theme. These cards start at a modest £85.00 for 100 cards printed in black in thermography.

The gilding can be in either gold or silver edging.

This next design on the right is very popular an A4 folded card done on our 400gsm Royal Kent board. Thermographically printed on the front is ideal for inserting the details of your wedding, ie reply cards maps of locations of the church or hotel details etc.

Once again these start at a very modest price of 100 for £97.00 all printed in black thermography on the front only.

Thermographic  printing is a multi-stage process. First, a printed paper drops off the printing press onto a conveyor. The conveyor moves the sticky ink underneath the thermography powder which is shaken on top of the entire sheet. The powder attaches to the wet ink. The extra powder is then vacuumed up and stored for re-use. Next, the coated sheet passes through an oven with temperatures ranging from 900 to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Laser-safe results in thermography combines a specially formulated powder with an ultraviolet light used to harden or cure the raised stationery so it won’t  re-melt. This can take place on an in-line machine or the conveyor of the thermography machine combined with a retrofit unit. This is the most productive and cost effective procedure and produces a smoother finish on fine lines of type, almost resembling genuine copper plate engraving.
